Brother Bernard Honored
Brother Ben Bernard and family of 6 from Samoa began their New York Conference Native Ministries program August 1st 2006. Ben, a recent graduate of Mission Collage, Gaston Oregon, studied under the direction of Elder Louis Torres, specializing in door-to-door evangelism. The Bernard family’s charismatic nature and enthusiasm for the Lord seems contagious and is demonstrated in the family’s total contribution to Bible work. The four Bernard children sing and play various instruments. Ben and wife Rosita, (Coordinator of Food Service at Union Springs Academy), preach and, with their children, canvas local neighborhoods for Bible study interests. September 13th was the launch of Oneida Native Church evangelistic meetings hosting more than 45 non-Seventh-day Adventist attendees showing that door-to-door ministry is effective today. The Onondaga Native church presented Ben with a traditional ribbon shirt is a token of acceptance, friendship, and Brotherly love. New York Conference Native Ministries is proud to have the Bernard family in this corner of Gods vineyard.
