Bible Worker/Lumberton SDA Company Leader Added
Scottie Deal has worked with the Lumberton Seventh-day Adventist Company for the past two years. He has preached, given Bible Studies, and more, as he has endeavored to lend a helping hand. Starting July 1, 2006, Scottie was voted to serve as the Bible worker/church leader for the congregation. Brother Scottie has been presenting very stirring sermons and sharing the Gospel through Bible Studies. Recently there have been three new members added to the church from his studies.
It was interesting how Bro. Scottie met this family. He was invited to sing at a local non-Adventist church. After he had sung and the church service was concluded, a lady walked up to Scottie and ask, “Are you a Seventh-day Adventist?” He said yes, and a visit was arraigned. A Bible study followed, and three of the family are now members of the Adventist church. The husband has stopped smoking and has attended the church. We are praying that he will be baptized soon. Brother Scottie continues to use his singing ability to bless the church and to reach out to the many churches found in Robeson County.
