The Feast of Ingathering (also known as the Feast of Tabernacles). Seven days long, this feast commemorated the end of the fruit harvest. It is observed in Autumn and is based on the Jewish lunar calendar. It is called Tabernacles to celebrate the temporary shelters the Israelites had to dwell in during their 40-year journey out of Egypt. The Feast of Ingathering begins on the 15th day of the seventh month (Tishri).
